That’s been our aim for more than thirty years and in that time we’ve gained an outstanding reputation for dynamic and adventurous productions. From imaginative reworking of classic drama to compelling new writing, we’re not afraid of being a little different!
Swan Poetry Evening
Join us for our monthly poetry evenings held at The Eagle Bookshop - these free events are an informal and relaxed evening of poetry and prose. Held the first Sunday of the month from 7pm.
Sept 3rd - Utopias and Dystopias
Can the human race create 'the perfect world' or are we heading towards 'the eve of destruction'?
Oct 1st - The International Day of Older Persons
Poetry, song and drama exploring the joys and sorrows of aging.
Nov 5th - Bonfires and Sedition
Guy Fawkes and many others have challenged the powers that be.
Dec 3rd - Another Midwinter Chill
Poetry, song and tales to chill your blood and disturb your sleep

We couldn’t do it without you! Yes, the lovely audiences who see our shows and everyone who contributes in any way to Swan are the backbone of our success.
To help us continue to produce the quality of work that we do, you may like to become a member of Swan. An annual donation of £25 does just that and allows you to take performing roles in all productions during the season if cast.

Costume hire
We have an extensive and ever expanding costume store. This includes items from the Tudor, Regency and Victorian periods to modern day and hire is available at very competitive rates.
